Creeping Line Ahead (CLA) |
Example of CLA in the CSAD:
Let us assume that you have been tasked to search CSAD1 from mile 50 to
60, left of track....
In the row labeled
NM along, the data is currently reads from 10 to
20. For your search, change it to read from 50 to 60 (if the CSP is at mile 50), or from 60 to 50 (if the CSP is at mile 60).
The next row
NM across reads from -10 to 0. A negative distance value signifies a point left of track, and a positive distance value signifies a point right of track. For your search, leave it as from -10 to 0 (if the CSP is 10 NM left of the CSAD centreline), or change it to read from 0 to -10 (if the CSP is at the centreline of the CSAD).
Finally, click either Plot along track to create a Parallel Track, or click Plot across track to create a CLA tasking.
