Creeping Line Ahead (CLA)
and Parallel Track (PT)

In this window you can quickly create a CLA or PT using 1 of 4 methods.
Each method defines the 4 corners of the box to be searched. Corner A is where you start, B is beside the end of your first line, C is opposite B and D is opposite A. You then Plot CLA to create a complete tasking route starting at airport_X, followed by the transit to the Lineup Point and CSP, the lines of the search using the specified Search Range, and the return to airport_Y.
  1. Edit (or MapClick) individual A,B,C,D corners, and  Plot CLA
  2. Adjust AB and BC distances, and click AB., then MapClick A and B
  3. Click ABCD, then MapClick A,B,C,D
  4. CLA in the CSAD (see example below)
The Get ABCD[X[Y]] button is for loading A,B,C,D,X and Y waypoints from an existing CLA Filename. Waypoint names are not required, but waypoints 1,2,3,4,5 and the last waypoint in the file, must correspond to A,B,C,D,X and Y.

Click Fuel Bingo to review distances, times and fuel burns for the plotted tasking.

Example of  CLA in the CSAD:
Let us assume that you have been tasked to search CSAD1 from mile 50 to 60, left of track....
In the row labeled NM along,  the data is currently reads from 10 to 20. For your search, change it to read from 50 to 60 (if the CSP is at mile 50), or from 60 to 50 (if the CSP is at mile 60).
The next row NM across reads from -10 to 0. A negative distance value signifies a point left of track, and a positive distance value signifies a point right of track. For your search, leave it as from -10 to 0 (if the CSP is 10 NM left of  the CSAD centreline), or change it to read from 0 to -10 (if the CSP is at the centreline of the CSAD).
Finally, click either Plot along track to create a Parallel Track, or click Plot across track to create a CLA tasking.
