Canadian Search
Area Definition (CSAD) |
The CSAD window has a dual purpose. First you
can create the CSAD of a missing aircraft and also plot Track Crawl search patterns.
To create a one or multi-segment CSAD, set the number of CSAD Definition Points (e.g. LKP + 1 corner + DEST = 3 CDP's). Then click the Create button, followed by a sequence of MapClicks in OziExplorer (i.e. LKP, intermediate corners, and DEST in order).
Clicking the Load button loads an existing CSAD Filename back into Search_HQ so that Tracks and CLA's in the CSAD can be plotted.
Once the CSAD is created (or loaded), clicking on Plot TRACKS will create both Returning and Non-Returning Track Crawls of specified Search Range starting at airport_X and proceeding to airport_Y when completed. (The Track Crawl data is stored in files where the name is derived by appending "_Tracks" to the CSAD Filename).
Click Fuel Bingo to review distances, times and fuel burns for the plotted Track Crawls.
